SAGAING DIVISION – In Salingyi Township, residents said that about 45 local residents of Moegyo Pyin and Yarza Kyaw Villages were arrested by the junta council soldiers on Tuesday morning (June 6).
An official from Salingyi Township True News Team said that the more than 70 junta soldiers stationed at Wanbao company left the deployment site and headed towards Yinmabin Township then abducted 15 people from Moegyo Pyin Village and 30 people from Yarza Kyaw Village they found on the road.
The official said, “Junta soldiers left Wanbao and went on foot towards Yinmabin. On the way, they entered Moegyo Pyin Village and spent the night. In the morning, when they left the village, they captured the locals they met on the road. Next they entered Yarza Kyaw Village and captured the people they found. Those people were taken as human shields. Now the junta soldiers and the abducted locals have reached Yinmabin.”
Those who were arrested were said to be youths in their 20s and 30a. It is known that there are women among the captives but their details are not known yet.
Said junta column, along with more than 40 abducted local residents, are currently in Yinmabin Township, having already reached between Ingyin Mountain and Hnawyoe Kaunghsint Village.
On June 4, a column of more than 200 junta troops from Monywa invaded and stationed themselves inside Nyaungpingyi village in Salingyi Township, forcing more than 10,000 residents of more than ten villages to flee to safety. The residents said on June 6 that they still do not dare to return to their villages.
After that, the forementioned terrorist junta column left the village after 4 p.m. on June 5 and entered Wanbao company and set up camp, according to the locals and the defence forces.
