MYANMAR- The National Unity Government (NUG) announced that more than 40 junta troops were killed in the fights that occurred last Sunday, July 9.
The actual number of causalities
maybe higher on the ground, and the number of injured on that day reached 53, as stated in the announcement.
In Khin U Township, Sagaing Division, KSO reportedly blasted the junta column with mines, and in Shwebo Township, PDF attacked the 12-wheeler truck carrying junta troops. In Myaung Township, the PDF reportedly launched a drone attack at the junta police station.
On the same day in Tanaing Township, Kachin State, Kachin Independence Army (KIA) attacked and occupied a (Pyithusit) militia camp, and in Momaunk Township, KIA-PDF joint force mined a 12-wheeler vehicle accompanying junta council troops.
It is also reported that nine junta troops were killed in a PDF’s landmine attack on a junta convoy in Natmauk Township, Magway Division whereas in Mindat Town, Chin State, the junta council reportedly launched an aerial attack on the locals.
Moreover, in Mon State, Belin Township, the KRF bombed the BGF camp under the Junta Council with a drone and the PDF fired heavy weapons at a battalion in the Kawkareik, Karen State.
Currently, the entire country is holding a public defense, against the junta coup for its violence on the citizens, as their right to defend their lives.
The junta council has not released any news about casualties reports on their soldiers across Myanmar.
