SHAN STATE – The clash lasted for 40 minutes between junta forces and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) due to the junta’s offensive at Nant Taung Village, near Muse City, in the north of Shan State, on Tuesday (July 11) at around 10 a.m., according to an official from TNLA.
“Fighting occurred between TNLA and junta forces from 10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. at Nant Taung Village in Muse City. It happened because the junta soldiers attacked the camp of TNLA. The casualties couldn’t be confirmed,” said the official.
Local sources reported that the junta vehicle attempted to pass through the gate where TNLA comrades were inspecting, leading to an exchange of fire, resulting in the death of one TNLA comrade.
The TNLA official did not confirm the death of the comrade. On July 10, clashes occurred between TNLA and junta forces in Hmine Ngor Region, Kyaukme Township, as the junta council launched an offensive, with the fighting lasting for three hours.
