“Junta soldiers set fire to Hmwepone Village without any battle in the region. There were about 50 or 60 soldiers that came in a tug boat pulling a barge, two speedboats and a ship. They torched down about 50 houses,” said a local resident.
Currently, the junta military convoys are reportedly using ships and military water crafts to move around, so the villagers along the river banks have to flee for their lives.
