MANDALAY DIVISION – Myingyan District Battalion 2 – MGN Tiger announced that they attacked the junta camps in Myingyan Township as Sinmin Operation, seizing several weapons and ammunition, including 60mm mortars, and that there were around 20 junta casualties.
Four places stationed by junta forces in Myingyan were simultaneously attacked starting April 20 as Sinmin Operation.
MGN Tiger and allied forces first attacked Kyi Village on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River to the north of Myingyan, where around 60 junta and Pyu Saw Htee forces were stationed.
The battle lasted around three hours and the revolutionary forces managed to capture the junta camp while around 15 junta forces were killed or injured, according to MGN Tiger.
The revolutionary forces reportedly had to retreat due to the arrival of junta reinforcement from Simekhon Deep Sea Port and it was informed that comrade Arkar Min from Battalion 2 fell in battle while around four were injured among the revolutionary forces.
One 60mm mortar, nine 60mm grenades, two MA 3 guns, and 125 5.25 bullets were said to have been confiscated in the battle.
Then Myingyan-based light infantry 15 was attacked with two 107mm shock missiles, which hit the security gate and killed four junta forces.
Similarly, two ships and the office of the junta council in Simekhon Deep Sea Port were attacked with shock missiles, while junta stations in Simekhon were also attacked with drones.
