SAGAING DIVISION: Policemen, soldiers, and militias (Pyu Saw Htees) left from Byuharkone police station, Sheimakar, Wetlet township, Sagaing division, to buy food rations were said to have been attacked by a remote-controlled mine in Sheimakar village, resulting in 4 deaths, as said by the Black Panther guerrilla force.
Around 4 p.m. on May 7, the mine was detonated with a remote control, which caused the deaths of a policeman, a militiaman, and two soldiers, as said by Ngarlay, a responsible person of the Black Panther guerrilla force.
It was said that after half an hour of being attacked with mine, junta forces from Byuharkone, Sheimakar arrived, fired the small ammunition, carried the dead bodies on their shoulders, and went back to their camp. However, the case has not been identified yet.
That camp was stationed by the soldiers from Maddaya. On May 6, a junta’s captain was said to have beaten the local villagers.
The villagers lived in the village, but without doing anything wrong, they were beaten by a drunken junta’s captain from Byuharkone, and they were also beaten with the butt of the gun. One of the villagers was abducted and released later.
On April 10, junta forces stationed in Kyettuyway village, Singu township, looted the crops owned by civilians. On their return, they were shot with heavy artillery by the Black Panther guerrilla force near Ywartharywa village.
