BAGO DIVISION – Residents reported that a Phayarkwin+Intawtha villager abducted by junta forces for no reason was found dead with bullet wounds.
On March 26 night, Mr. Zaw Htaik, a resident of Phayarkwin+Intawtha Village in Hlepyintin Village Tract in Minhla Township was abducted from his house by junta forces and Ye Tun, a Pyu Saw Htee militant, saying they have questions for him.
Then the next morning, his dead body with a bullet wound in the back of his head was found at the pagoda hill to the south of the village.
“Mr. Zaw Htaik, a resident of Phayarkwin+Intawtha Village in Hlepyintin Village Tract in Minhla Township, was taken away for questioning by Pyu Saw Htee Ye Tun and junta forces on March 26 night. Mr. Zaw Htaik was found dead with a bullet hole in the back of his head at the pagoda hill to the south of the village this morning (March 27). His family was only told that he would be returned soon when they took him away,” said a local resident.
