KACHIN STATE – The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has captured six military camps of the terrorist junta council in Momauk Township including Yawyong Strategic Camp and seized a large number of weapons and ammunition including two Howitzer cannons, reported a KIA military news source.
On March 28 morning, KIA captured the Pagoda Hill Camp north of Lweje in Momauk Township, Lauddan military camp in upper Momauk and Yawyong Strategic Camp and seized a large number of arsenal including two 122mm Howitzer cannons after having captured three junta camps on March 27.
“Three more camps were captured this morning (March 28). Pagoda Hill Camp north of Lweje in Momauk Township, Lauddan military camp in upper Momauk and Yawyong Strategic Camp were captured. Only two junta camps remain on the Bahmo-Lweje Road now. A large number of weapons and ammunition were seized. There were also two 122mm cannons. A total of six camps have been captured, three yesterday and three today,” said the KIA military news source.
The KIA source added that only two camps of the terrorist junta council are left to be captured on the Bahmo-Lweje Road at present.
