KAREN STATE – From October 1 to 31, 87 clashes occurred between revolutionary comrades and junta forces in KNU Brigade – 5 area, Hpapun District, resulting in the deaths of over 30 junta troops.
KNU released a statement about the clashes, and the junta violated human rights of civilians.
During the battles, 31 junta troops and BGF members were killed, and 51 others were wounded. Additionally, four comrades of KNLA Brigade – 5 sacrificed their lives for the people, and six others were wounded.
The junta airstrikes and the artillery shells wounded one civilian, said the statement. KNU reported that civilians and their houses were damaged as the junta council recklessly fired heavy artillery shells at residential places.
