SAGAING DIVISION – According to revolutionary news sources and local news sources, the Kawlin township police station was captured by the revolutionary forces on November 5 evening after a 3-days attack.
Starting from November 3, the military council camps and police stations were attacked simultaneously in Kawlin township. It was learned from the Kawlin Revolution and Kawlin Info that the strongly deployed Kawlin Township Police Station was successfully captured at 5:30 p.m. on November 5th after a 3-days attack.
It was reported that “Our comrades have successfully captured the Kawlin police station. The political prisoners have been brought out safely by our comrades and placed in a safe place. We would like to inform you that we will continue to bring out the public who remain in the town as much as we can.”
The other news source also confirmed that the occupation of the Kawlin police station by the revolutionary forces is true.
Some residents of Kawlin said that there are shootings in the town and some dead bodies are on the street. Most of the people are trapped without being able to leave the town. The phone lines are cut off, and only available scarcely in some time. They communicated that the condition in the down is very bad.
