MAGWAY DIVISION – Myingyan Black Tiger leader Bo. Mike Kal said that they attacked the terrorist junta troops stationed in Hinthaywarma Village and witnessed the death of many junta soldiers.
On Martyr’s Day, July 19, around 5:00 a.m., the Pyu Saw Htee and junta camp at Hinthaywarma Village was attacked by resistance forces. The fight lasted for about 45 minutes. The building where the army officers lived was blown down by RPG, and it is said that all the junta forces inside the building might have been killed. The remaining soldiers outside the building and the camp were also attacked but the RPG’s barrel broke down and so, the resistance forces were unable to destroy the bunker and had to retreat before being able to seize the camp.
“We reached as close as a bamboo tree length (around 30m or 100 feet) to the camp, There is a building where the captains live and 60mm motors were stored. We were able to blow down that building with an RPG. The building collapsed. But the RPG can no longer shoot as its barrel burst. So, we threw grenades and fired small arms and fired 40mm motors at the remaining soldiers in the camp.”
“The junta troops also returned fire. As the sun came up, we couldn’t get close to their camp. We could not demolish the bunker as the RPG was unable to continue firing. As for the junta causalities, all those inside the officer building (might have) died but the exact number of causalities is not known. All that’s left and survived are the guys outside. It is known that the wives of the soldiers and some villagers (Pyu members) were also reportedly injured. We can’t investigate since the soldiers inside the camp are not allowed to go out and no one (including their troops) is allowed to enter the camp,” said Bo. Mike Kal.
During the attack, the Myingyan Black Tiger troops were able to fall back unharmed, and the exact number of junta casualties is still under investigation as the junta council has covered up the news.
